I have decided to start a blog about my long journey with braces and possible jaw surgery..I had 6 spacers but on may 19th 2009..
On may 26th I got the actual braces top and bottom..I chose lavender..So far no trouble with staining..I have had no pain yet but i see my top teeth which only had a minor adjustment needed is now straight,However I have not seen any movement in my bottom arch as of yet.I will be adding some before and after pics if I can get my camera to work..
I think im pretty lucky so far no pain but all my teeth are senstive to touch and brush.I also have a hook on the molar bands that will be used eventually to adjust my bite.That hook is sticking in my cheek..I have my next adjustment on June 23rd so will see what the ortho can do about it..I have been using alot of wax since getting braced,Starting tomorrow im going to try to wean myself off of it as it gets goey when it gets wet.im very careful about keeping everything clean and im constantly brushing and flossing.here are some before picturesd
